If you're out there you're vulnerable. People prefer to disappear in life, to repress their personality. That's not living. It's dying. I see them all over the place, the walking dead.

The Best & Worst of Times

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness...it was the spring of hope..."

Dickens could never have known just how prophectic these words would prove to be today in 2008. We witness some of the best of times as it pertains to science, justice & unity, and yes.....politics! The idea of there even being a chance (and that chance is great!) that an African-American man will be President of the United States is phenomenal and beyond anything most people ever imagined in this generation.

However, we can't overlook the fact that these are still the worst of times. Even as we are all excited about the Presidential election, we forget that

On any given night in America, anywhere from 700,000 to 2 million people are
homeless, according to estimates of the National Law Center on Homelessness
and Poverty.

Nor can we pretend that, according to the Department of Labor, over the past12 months, the number of unemployed persons has increased by 2.2 mil-lion and the unemployment rate has risen by 1.4 percentage points. Unfortunately, the unemployment rate is predicted to increase well into 2009.

And these are just a couple issues: We MUST use our Voice and Vote!
